Importance of being Active, Fit and Fine

Now a days, the life of a human being has become extremely fast. There is no time to relax. Work pressure is increasing day by day. 10 to 11 hours a day of Office work is considered as normal office hours in most of the private sector organizations. Every human should be on his toes at any given point of time.

Not to forget the most important thing, family and social responsibilities. These too are indeed the important part of day to day life. In short, a human being is fully occupied with no time for himself/herself !!!

All these add up to uneven lunch/dinner timings. Unwanted eating habits. Isn't it a common case that in order to fulfill the hunger temporarily, you eat roadside VADA PAAV/BHAJI PAAV?? Even I am not an exception to this case.... he he he !!!

But there is indeed a very good saying in Hindi which definitely is IMPORTANT,

                                                         जान हे तो जहान हे

You can neither build up your career nor complete your responsibilities unless and until you are active, Fit and Fine. I am not saying you need to spend hefty sum of money and hit a gym, but you can definitely follow some basic exercise techniques to be active.

I would like to give one example here. Example is of none other than Sylvester Stallone as Rocky Balboa. I suggest you all to please look at a below video clip. The video clip shows two cases where one boxer is exercising using all the latest technological machinery. The boxer is Dolph Lundgren as Ivan Draga. Whereas the other boxer Sylvester Stallone as Rocky Balboa is using plain and simple techniques to achieve the same goal. The video is so meaningful that you (including me too :) ) can learn a lot of things from the same.

Playing outdoor games is another good exercise which all age groups can follow. Since I am a die hard fan of cricket, I play cricket every Sunday for almost 2.5 hours. I get scolding from my friends (specially Deeptanshu Pusalkar who is a body builder and Phd. Chemistry) many times about bad eating habits which they say can hamper my bowling performance during cricket match.....

My parampujya sadguru Shri Aniruddha Bapu (Dr. Aniruddha Dhairyadhar Joshi, M.D. Medicine) has stated the importance of fitness many times in his Thursday Discourse at Shri Harigurugram (Bandra East). He himself is a master of PRACHYA BALAVIDYA i.e. Indian Martial Arts. Below is one of the books on Balavidya. The photo on the front page of book is of none other than Shri Aniruddha Bapu !!

The simple hygiene practices advocated by him are,

  •  After you wake up, do gargling with salt water after brushing the teeth.
  • Drink minimum one glass of lukewarm water which can be increased upto 5 glasses or equivalent of 1 liter of lukewarm water. This initiates the process of disposal of waste products from human body and thus prevents constipation.
  • Shatakshi Prasadam is a critical element in maintaining ones health and immunity. It contains in equal proportion turmeric, dried ginger powder, honey and a petal of garlic. All rolled to form a solid ball and swallowed after breakfast with or without water.

  • 1 hour of brisk walking
  • Avoid eating junk food as much as you can

That is it. You will see the difference in yourself in a very short span of time. Aniruddha Bapu's shraddhawan friend Mr. Samir Dattopadhye has also written an article on Dara Singh with this regard. Do visit a below link for the same,

So the moral of the story is you can follow very simple exercises which can help a lot. This will not only make you active, but it will also protect you from becoming vulnerable to various diseases !!
