CyanogenMod 12 (CM12) Based NightOwl ROM for Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Now Has CM12 Theme Engine

Yes. Its indeed a very good news. BETA 5 of CM12 based NightOwl ROM ( Android 5.0.2 Lollipop ) for Galaxy Note GT-N7000 is now out and it now has CM12 Theme Engine added. This means users can now apply themes to change the look and feel of the phone. 

One by one, features are getting added to the ROM and bugs too are getting fixed. Even though in BETA stage, ROM looks really stable. I am using it as a daily driver now. This great work is done by XDA Developer Bauner. 

 




 
BETA 5 Changelog :-
  • Merged the latest CM changes (including the theme engine)
  • Sort, add and remove icons in quick settings are now fully working
  • Removed dynamic fsync in the kernel to prevent data corruption
  • FP Bug fix in kernel updated to zeitferne's version
  • Fixed an typo in xmm6260 libril which could cause mobile data connection problems
  • Merged xmm6262 and xmm6260 libril to single lib

Android 4.2.2 on Galaxy Note GT-N7000 - Touchwiz UI look and feel for AOSP / CyanogenMod based Stock / Custom ROMS

I am running AOSP/CM10.1 Android 4.2.2 based custom rom on my Galaxy Note GT-N7000. Note is rooted with ClockWorkMod Recovery installed. I wanted to have look and feel of TouchWiz UI on the rom. I started searching on internet for the same. Even though I am not fond of TouchWiz framework (due to heavy resource consumption), I do like the graphics provided by TouchWiz.
