iOS 9.2 Now Available For Download

There is a good news for Apple iOS fans. iOS 9.2 is now available for download. I received the OTA update for my iPad Mini yesterday. It has been 24 hours since I installed the update. iPad is working very fine. No issues as such yet. Moto G (1st Gen) - Android 5.1 Lollipop Update Confirmed

Yes. Its true. Its indeed a good news for Motorola fans. According to David Schuster who is Senior Director, SW Product Management, Motorola Mobility ; Moto G 1st Generation will get Android 5.1 Lollipop.   However, the date is not yet confirmed as there are few complications in this upgrade process and the team responsible for providing upgrades is working to resolve this complications. Lets hope that the complications get resolved soon so that the date of upgrade will be known to the Moto G 1st Gen users. But ultimately, its now confirmed that Android 5.1 upgrade wil be there for Moto G 1st Generation !!!

Apple started rolling out iOS 8.1.3 Update

iOS 8.1.3 is update now available for download. I updated my iPad Mini-Retina Display with the latest update today morning. There are bug fixes, stability and performance improvements provided under this update. The best thing Apple has done is reducing the amount of storage required to perform software update.  Below is brief description about the update:- Reduces the amount of storage required to perform software update. Fixes an issue that prevented some users from entering the Apple ID Password for Messages and FaceTime. Addresses an issue that causes Spotlight to stop displaying app results.  Fixes an issue which prevented multitasking gestures from working on iPad. Apple iOS8 update now available

Its really a very good news for Apple fans. iOS8 is now available. I own an iPad Mini with Retina Display for which I received the update on the very first day i.e. 17th Sept 2014. The update shows following information in brief... This update is the biggest since the launch of the App Store, with hundreds of new features including new Messages and Photos features, QuickType keyboard, a new Health app, Family Sharing, iCloud Drive and more.   Below is the screenshot of my iPad Mini... As you can see in the screenshot, the update size is 1.3 GB. It also requires at least 6.9 GB of free storage. I own 16 GB version of iPad Mini and had to delete few apps and photos in order to download and install the update. After the update finished, I again downloaded all the apps which I deleted in order to make room for this huge update.  Overall, it was around 3 hours of work (delete apps + download update + install apps again) for me considering the Internet ...
