Hurrey ! Its indeed a very good news. New update of Ubuntu Touch OS is now available for devices listed here by UBPorts community. Three cheers to the community for keeping the Ubuntu Phone alive and ticking. I own BQ Aquaris E5 HD Ubuntu Edition and I applied the update to it today. Its running smoothly. Below is the page which gives detailed instructions on how to apply the update. Today, I tried installing latest build of ubuntu touch from staging channel for Ubuntu Phone BQ Aquaris E5 HD Ubuntu edition . Even though the installation was quite smooth and successful, the phone got stuck up in bootloop. I kept it going for almost 30 minutes but it did not came out of it. I tried to go to recovery parition by pressing POWER + VOLUME UP buttons. But it was not entering recovery. The only option I had was to enter fastboot mode.  I could recover the phone with stable image available. I thought of sharing the procedure as this might be the case with many other users too. Its indeed good to see Ubuntu Phone is becoming more and more mature as the days pass by.  6 weekly Over The Air (OTA) update schedule is making ‪ Ubuntu Touch ‬ OS more and more amazing !!! Canonical has released OTA 10 update for Ubuntu Phone with lots of good features. Unity 8 enhancements are the key improvements. Overall look and feel of the OS is also very good now. Camera bugs are finally fixed and now camera works very smoothly. This is also one more update which was very much expected. Dekko, uNav and Calendar apps are now integrated as a part of OS.  Instagram scope has also received a major update. Now, I could login to instagram using my account details on the scope window itself. One more big update is the integration of OpenVPN . The option is present under system settings. Ubuntu has started rolling out OTA 9.1 update for Ubuntu Phones. I own BQ Aquaris E5 HD Ubuntu edition and got the update. Phone is working all ok after the update. No issues with normal working. Good news for Ubuntu Phone fans. OTA 9 update for Ubuntu Touch OS is now out. It has good new features and also bug fixes. I own BQ Aquaris E5 HD Ubuntu Edition and updated my phone today morning with OTA 9. No problems after the update till now. Its a very good news for Ubuntu fans owning Ubuntu Phone. OTA 7 update has been released with lots of bug fixes and improvements. I own BQ Aquaris E5 and received the update today morning. I recently ordered a flip cover for my Ubuntu Phone BQ Aquaris E5 HD Ubuntu Edition . The cover is pretty decent. I liked it. It fits well for the phone. It has a new glue stick technology using which you can stick the backside of the phone to the cover. I purchased BQ Aquaris E5 HD Ubuntu edition smartphone few days back. It feels really great to own Ubuntu phone. I am a die hard fan of Ubuntu OS and using it since very long. This smartphone is a treat to Ubuntu enthusiastic people. Ubuntu phone introduces the concept of scopes. On home screens, you can add scopes and scroll through them horizontally. The data is automatically pulled using the wifi or the gprs connection whichever you have enabled. I got a software update worth around 400 MB when I purchased the phone. WiFi hotspot is also introduced in this update. Overall, its a nice phone to have. Do watch the walkthrough video prepared by me.
