Will there be Android 5.1.1 Update for Moto G 2nd Generation (Moto G 2014) ?

When will Moto G 2nd Generation (Moto G 2014) get Android 5.1.1  Update?

The same question is there in my mind for so many days. I own Moto G 2014 and waiting for Android 5.1.1 update for the same. After doing google search, there are so many websites giving different opinions about the update. Its really difficult to confirm which one is the correct information.

No. I am neither going to provide any information about when update is going to come nor give any rumored release date for the update in this blogpost. I am just like you all who own a Moto G 2nd Generation and waiting for the update. After doing some analysis for few days, I would like to mention few points from my side about this update.

Where to get authentic information about the update?

The places where you will get authentic information about the update are as follows. If any other website is giving any information about the update, then first confirm from the below links and then only believe on the information.

(For the two questions below, the answers which I am providing is what my guess is. I don't have any authentic information about them.)

Why it is taking so long for the update?

There can be two reasons for the same. Below are those,
1) Internal restructuring of the company by Lenovo.

2) Integration of the Stagefright Patch alongwith Android 5.1.1 update. There may be some hiccups in combining Android 5.1.1 and Stagefright patch in one update. The same has been mentioned by David Schuster in his post for MOTO E. This may be true for other devices too. This might be the reason for delay. Please check his post on Google+

Will Moto G 2014 really get the Android 5.1.1 Update? Is Android 5.0.2 the last update for Moto G 2014?

Personally I don't think Android 5.0.2 will be the last update. Moto G 2014 got released in mid/late 2014 (September if I am not mistaken) and I really don't think Motorola will end the product like this. I don't think the update cycle will end so early i.e. in an year.

Summary
As of now, there is no confirmed information available about the update. In fact, its not even clear whether the update will be Android 5.1.1 or it will be just Stagefright patch or both together. In short, we have only one option as of now.... don't believe in rumors, never loose hopes and wait for official communication from Motorola !!!

Android 4.2.2 on Galaxy Note GT-N7000 - Touchwiz UI look and feel for AOSP / CyanogenMod based Stock / Custom ROMS

I am running AOSP/CM10.1 Android 4.2.2 based custom rom on my Galaxy Note GT-N7000. Note is rooted with ClockWorkMod Recovery installed. I wanted to have look and feel of TouchWiz UI on the rom. I started searching on internet for the same. Even though I am not fond of TouchWiz framework (due to heavy resource consumption), I do like the graphics provided by TouchWiz. I tried to find out ways to give such look and feel to my Note. After googling, I found out the following steps :- 1) Install CM10.1 TouchWiz 5.0 Theme I found out this theme on Play Store. The CM10.1 TouchWiz Free Theme can be downloaded using the below link, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.thomassafca.theme.touchwiz.five.free Below is the makeover of the System UI after installing this theme.
